Common questions

Know exactly what you're applying for

Is the website genuinely free?

For accepted pilot applicants, the standard one-page website's initial design and build cost £0. Any optional paid services will be clearly identified before agreement.

Will everyone be accepted?

No. Funding is limited by pilot capacity. Applications are assessed for business legitimacy, suitability for a standard starter website and the information supplied. We will publish any geographic or sector limits before taking live applications.

Do I have to pay for hosting or upgrade later?

No compulsory paid upgrade is part of the proposed starter service. The exact free hosting duration, fair-use limits and continuity policy will be confirmed in the pilot terms before applications are accepted.

Can I use my own domain?

The free starter uses a FreeSitesGlobal subdomain. A custom domain is an optional upgrade; third-party domain charges may apply.
